About Kendall Immigration Law

Kendall Immigration Law is designed specifically to support small business and individuals seeking to immigrate based on employment or marriage. We also understand that smaller employers may not have internal expertise in immigration and may shy away from hiring foreign nationals as a result, but they shouldn’t! We will do everything we can to make the process as seamless as possible. We also take a proactive approach, considering each case holistically and keeping abreast of the latest updates from all agencies involved in this highly complex field to ensure clients remain apprised of developments that could impact their cases.

We promise to adhere to the following principles for all our clients.

Quality over Quantity: We will never take more cases than we can effectively handle, and each one receives direct attorney attention and guidance. While we do intend to grow, we intend to do so sustainably to ensure no case or client is shortchanged.

Direct Access to Counsel: All my clients and the employees they sponsor have direct access to counsel. You are hiring a specific attorney, not a law firm.

Communication: We recognize the stakes in every immigration case, and are committed to prompt responses to inquiries and regular updates on the status of your case. We are also happy to schedule additional meetings as needed.

Honesty in Assessments: We will never take a case simply for the fee; when assessing immigration options, we will be creative but offer an honest assessment of the chances of success and risks associated with various strategies.

Our Fees

Our fees reflect the level of attention each case requires to ensure the strongest possible filing and the highest level of service. Our model is to take fewer cases and do them well. Growth is welcome as long as it is sustainable, and we will not sacrifice quality for quantity.

For most cases, we use a flat fee structure, though we offer an hourly rate when appropriate. We also charge a one-time administrative fee per case to cover shipping and incidentals, meaning you will get no lengthy, incomprehensible bills full of indecipherable charges. Anna Kendall Gorisch

Anna Kendall Gorisch began her immigration law career at a small firm in Washington, DC while attending Georgetown University Law Center and fell in love with the practice. Although she explored other areas of law, she came back to immigration and it felt like coming home. Since returning to the field, she has worked for large prominent immigration firms including Ogletree Deakins and Fragomen, and as in-house immigration counsel for GEODIS Logistics and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

Over the years, she has developed sophisticated expertise in employment-based immigration and successfully advised numerous large and small businesses and individuals on the H-1B process (including for cap-exempt organizations), PERM, complex intracompany transfer issues (L-1), AC21 portability, Adjustment of Status, and TNs for both Mexico and Canada. She also has a strong track record of success with advanced visa types, including EB-1 petitions, National Interest Waivers, and O-1 Extraordinary Ability.

Having served as in-house counsel, Anna has unique insight into the challenges facing both employers and employees in the immigration sponsorship process. She has managed compliance directly, including tricky I-9 issues, and created legally proper immigration agreements and policies, including clawback provisions. She particularly loves working with smaller companies new to immigration sponsorship and assisting with the development of an in-house immigration program.

Anna is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and regularly provides pro bono services through the American Bar Association. At Georgetown Law, she studied with the best legal minds in the country and discovered her love of immigration law through her time under the tutelage of Elliot C. Lichtman.

Prior to attending law school, Anna was a professional actor and teaching artist. Her work with young people was covered by Nashville Arts magazine and informs her legal practice in surprising ways. Every case is a story.

Anna is also a regular guest on the podcast, The Political Orphanage, first appearing in the episode, “Sucks to Legally Immigrate” (which can be found here).
